Honduras Adaption of SASA!

GWI will draw from and synthesize a growing evidence base that demonstrates the effectiveness of community-based interventions to address and prevent IPV. The synthesis will demonstrate how programs such as SASA! and SHARE, as highlighted in the Lancet article, resulted in significant reductions in reported IPV victimization and perpetration.

The technical note that will be prepared by GWI will outline the need for adaptation. A “how to” adaptation step-by-step guide will also be created for utilization among organizations attempting to adapt a community-based mobilization intervention such as SASA!.

The note will include a description of effective monitoring and evaluation plans to assess the impact of community based mobilization programs.

GWI will present the findings of this technical note to interested parties and provide technical assistance to those implementing and overseeing the program adaptation.
