Lauren Fite

George Washington University Parent and Philanthropist, Co-Chair

While Lauren Fite’s professional passion was healthcare, particularly serving inner-city Los Angeles seniors as a physician’s assistant in a coordinated care medical practice, her volunteer experience has been largely in the educational realm, either through board positions or, in earlier years, as a parent volunteer. She is currently serving as an alumnae parent on the board of The Archer School for Girls in Los Angeles. She also volunteers as a health advisor at PSI Elementary School and GALS (The Girls Athletic Leadership School), a girls’ charter-school. Additionally, she is on an advisory board for the Simms Mann Center for Integrative Oncology at UCLA and for griefHaven, and organization that lends support to parents and families who have experienced death of a child. She has a passion for educational institutions that are committed to keeping their students engaged and their programs current. With the establishment of her family foundation in 2015, she has found it gratifying to be able to contribute to such programs such as the Knowledge in Action Fund at GWU, making it possible for students to work in summer internships to further their job experience.
